Wings, Puzzles, and How They All Fit Together

Lure of the Labyrinth is divided into three sections, or "wings," relating to particular aspects of the typical pre-algebra curriculum:

  • Proportions
  • Variables
  • Number and Operations
There are three puzzles (each with three levels) within each wing where students can begin to learn about and gain experience with that wing's math content. As you know, there's generally much overlap among these subject areas when you teach pre-algebra in the classroom. So it only makes sense that there's also quite a bit of overlap within Lure of the Labyrinth's wings and puzzles. Still, each puzzle has been designed to address specific standards that are important parts of your curriculum. Check out our Standards Connection to learn more about the math content in all of Lure of the Labyrinth's puzzles. And also ... at this point, only the Proportions wing of Lure of the Labyrinth is available to you and your students. The remaining wings will, however, be available in the very near future. In the meantime, we recommend that you have your students begin playing into the Proportions wing and start benefiting from Lure of the Labyrinth as soon as possible.
